HAUS OF TRIKES & BIKES
With a large positive track record of transforming commercial spaces, PDS Architecture developed a new retail location for Haus of Trikes and Bikes located in Fort Myers, Florida. Known throughout the state as one of the largest motorcycle and trike dealers, Haus of Trikes and Bikes contacted PDS with hopes of renovating a long-abandoned building into a state-of-the-art motorcycle show room and repair facility.
EFFICIENTLY DESIGNED
The over 12,000-square foot space showcases a 3,500-square foot fabrication and repair center, along with an elegantly designed show room for new and used motorcycles. The location was developed to efficiently use the space allocated to align with the customer’s goals, wants and requirements.
There were several challenges during the development which included reinforcing existing mezzanine to support the newly revamped multi-level showroom as well as addressing the lack of ADA accessibility on both the interior and exterior of the facility. Elevators and lifts were added to the building without disrupting the existing structure. Aesthetic challenges included modernizing the existing façade without disturbing the current storefront and tastefully merging the existing stone finishes with modern design features.
